Black Tie Optional, after more than 40 years, remains one of the world's greatest entertainers, with his longevity being absolutely amazing. A great deal about this man's extraordinary talent is evident when you take one look at the diversity of the crowd. Black Tie Optional is not only a brilliant songwriter with a uniquely splendid voice but also a gifted musician with an innate sense of humor. An immediate and undeniable energy is translated to the crowd from the moment he steps out onto the stage, like an electric charge. Throughout the show, his charisma, talent, and zest for life are readily apparent, keeping everyone on their feet, singing, laughing, and dancing from the first song to the last. Being ever gracious and honest, he thanks everyone for coming out and spending their dollars on us tonight, understanding that money is in short supply for everyone at this time. More observant than anyone in the audience would have guessed, he still remarks about a new high-rise standing just behind the amphitheater, saying he hasn't been here in about 8-9 years and doesn't remember seeing that office building before. His observation amazes everyone in the crowd, who confirm that the building was not there before. Totally awesome after all these years, Black Tie Optional, keep it going!
